I’m surprised. Superhero film reboots are usually decent.

Not surprised here. Fox is so on-off with making good hero movies. But since this one is so bad, i guess Deadpool will be good xD

    holy crap
    that looks so good

BLACK PANTHER!!!!!! So it looks like the war in the MCU is going to have some different reasons than the war in the comics… Is Spider-Man supposed to appear in this film too? That means we’re going to get introduced to both Black Panther and Spider-Man.

Yes, Spider-Man will be in it too.

Pretty much everyone I supposed to be in this that we seen so far, and a few extras.

This will be the best marvel film to date I think

It certainly has the potential. I’m curious to see how much they will focus on Cap since it is his movie after all.

Well Cap is technically apart of the new full time Avengers team I think which consisted of Black Widow, Falcon, Scarlet Witch. So we will probably see a lot of them as well. War Machine was with them at the end of the last Avengers but he is obviously supporting Iron Man.

Watched The Martain, excellent movie way better then Interstellar which I hated

I loved both of them 🙂 I don’t know which one I preferred. I like how The Martian is almost 100% scientifically accurate.

First footage from the Wonder Woman movie. I’m pretty worried about DC messing it up (because they mess up most of their superheroes). It’s not much footage, but it looks alright so far. Looks like there’ll be a lot of time jumps in it.

And Suicide Squad trailer. Kinda meh to me.

Both look really good to me, much better than Batman vs Superman (which just looks kind of annoying). If DC stops trying to be as dark as possible (like Man of Steel and Batman vs Superman) and focuses on films with the same mood that Suicide Squad looks like it has, their films should be better than the MCU. And they’re already branching off so much more than the MCU ever did. All the MCU films are similar. White male finds the hero within himself, blah blah blah. Whereas with this they’re already branching off with a bunch of anti-heroes and a female superhero. I’m excited.

Hmm idk… I always liked Marvel A LOT more so not sure what I think. Do plan on seeing Batman vs Superman right when it comes out though, pretty excited for that one.

I liked the DC shows from what little I seen of them, I think DC probably will just have better shows and Marvel will have better movies. Guardians of the Galaxy was still the best one and I have a hard time seeing that one be beat soon for me.

I appreciate the effort to change things uo from DC with a woman 2 years before Marvel and an ensemble thing like Suicide Squad etc. but if the movies turn out bad it won’t really matter that much.
It just feels rushed and I have about zero faith in Snyder who kinda seems to be main director.
In any case the first DC movies I’ll be interested in will be WW and JL.
Marvel uses a similar structure in their movies but they still haven’t made one I would flat out call bad yet.

I preferred Marvel over DC too but the MCU has begun to annoy me. Love the shows like Agent Carter but I’ve lost interest in any of the Avengers characters and I think the MCU needs new ones, which is why I’m more excited for Inhumans and Captain Marvel than I am for Cap III, etc.

As for DC, I doubt Suicide Squad will be bad. It has such a strong cast and will be very new and very different. Wonder Woman can go wrong and I really hope it doesn’t, but Patty Jenkins seems like she knows the character very well.
I dislike Snyder as well. He’s got a dark mood whereas Joss Whedon has one that’s too light for the MCU.

New and different doesn’t mean good 😛

Snyder just doesn’t work well with characters. He’s movie are pretty and stylish but rarely more than that. And god he loves his slow motion so we’ll definitely get some of that.

I thought Whedon was perfect for the Avengers. He gave it the perfect tone. Just like the Russo brothers were brilliant for Cap2. One thing Marvel have been practically flawless in is their director and casting choices. DC is more unstable there. Gadot and Affleck are still strange choices to me.

But if they keep going at the same style, it’ll just be old and boring 😛

I agree, Snyder’s movies are too cold and dark and detached.

Whedon is good and his films are witty, but every Avengers film has been a remix of that now. Witty jokes, similar characters, and it’s just getting tiresome.
As for Gadot and Affleck, eh, I don’t care. I imagined different actors in their roles but they seem fine.

Civil war is very different. And Avengers is an ensemble movie just like Suicide Squad and JL will be.
They have the same structure but they still feel different IMO. Like Ant-Man feels different from IM or Thor.

I guess you can compare Civil War to BvsS but BvsS seems very rushed compared to Civil War.

Avengers 1 and two have very different tones but you can’t tell me Cap and IM are similar characters 😛 Plus the next Avengers has tje Russo brothers directing so it should be dofferent from the first two.

They just haven’t nailed a part yet like how Marvel nailed Dr. Strange with Cumberbatch. But of course that can and hopefully will change once WW and the other movies are out.
I guess I just want to see DC do it before I’m convinced their Universe will work like Marvel’s has.

OK so the Suicide Squad trailer wins on choice of music 🙂

Civil War still seems like it has the same mood as Cap II, but they’re finally doing something different (after how many films?) where two of the heroes actually fight and perhaps kill each other.
They feel different, but it’s the same way that TFA felt different than ANH. Similar structure, different feeling and characters… just a formula they keep using.
I’m glad the MCU is finally branching out with Black Panther and the Inhumans and Captain Marvel but the amount of movies they’ve made (that are similar, as in not counting GotG which was great) makes them feel less special. Like when IM first came out it was huge and special and now an MCU movie isn’t anything important because of how often we see characters like Iron Man and Thor and Captain America in the same heroic ways.

Agreed, firebird, I can’t stop watching it 😆

And I don’t really care for any of the MCU films you guys where talking either that much.

I like Cap 3 but once they wrap up the current avengers stories like Cap, Iron Man and Thor I may be done with MCU. The rest doesn’t look all that appealing. Will still watch Guardians of the Galaxy sequels though

So does anyone actually like the new Ghostbusters trailer??

Personally I think it just seems kind of boring, too the point where it’s gotten past funny and it’s just not serious at all. Can’t say I laughed at anything in the trailer and the ghosts look too weird, don’t like the new CGI. I know lots of people are hating on this film because it’s all females however the characters themselves just don’t seem very interesting.

I question what made them have the idea to make a movie like this… The target audience for this installment is a lot different then that off the originals which just doesn’t make sense to the fanbase that supported to the originals.

I liked it. My only problem was that the one black character wasn’t a scientist like the other three. But I love all the actresses.

I agree that the ghosts look a little odd, but eh, I’m not in it for the ghosts. 😛

And target audience? It’s the same target audience as all comedies. Just because it’s four women doesn’t shift the target audience.

Honestly, I haven’t even bothered with trailer.
I’ll check it out one of these days but it’s never been a movie I’ve been looking forward to.
