Looks like the Jakku map is going to have a dynamic effect like some of the battlefield map particular Paracel Storm where the destroyer crashed into the island

I love the way it looks with all the debris.

I’m hoping more maps have effects to them if this is true though. I imagine after the destroyer crashes then the map will become very dusty with limited visibility.

Maps looks cool yeah 🙂 I think the second Jakku map may just be one inside of e crashed star destroyer, you could make a pretty big map with that (still a smaller like team death match kind of thing though).

I hope thats what it is, inside the destroyers.

Yeah I want Lothal seems like the only chance we will get a real sort of town/ city map which would be nice to see. A map where you could enter buildings and stuff, close quarters.

Hopefully AT DPs would be in it.

The Hoth is different between Its Walker Assault and Supremecy modes.

In supremecy the base is fully accessible, Hangars are all open. I assume most command posts are inside. ATAT are gone. Rebel transports are behind the trenches.

I’d expect them to be a bit different. Operation Metro on Battlefield 4 is different on Rush and Conquest. But overall some of the map is always reused for almost every game type.

I really like the looks of the Jundland Wastes map.

No Mos Eisley, odd… but then again, Rebels probably would keep fighting away from civilizations.

You see the new info on the season pass? Pretty much tells what to expect from the updates and DLC. More vehicles, Tech, Heroes, and 16 maps…

Pretty much what I said then. 16 maps = 4 per DLC likely 8 planets (1 per 2 maps) unless they add on to existing planets.

I’m not watching streams or looking at much info right now. I just preordered the deluxe edition and want it to be fresh on Tuesday when I get it. Probably will buy the season pass at Christmas.

Best looking game I have ever seen I think…

So for DLC planets I’ll say:

    Yavin (Obvious I think…)
    Island planet in TFA
    Snow planet in TFA
    Bespin

Probably a bunch of planets not seen in movies like Sullust

JSYK there is a Star Wars battlefront companion app that has stats and everything but also a unique card game that lets you get points to use in the real game

I really don’t think they’ll do much Force Awakens, if any. By the end of the trilogy there will probably be enough for a whole new game. Same with Clone Wars.

Droid units would require a different structure.

Been playing a lot, the training has some cool cinematics and they’re very well done. Sort of disappoints me that there isn’t a campaign but whatever.

Multiplayer has been pretty fun so far, I keep getting the Hoth map from the beta though 😛 haven’t even played on Endor yet and only been on Tatooine once.

However Heroes vs Villains may be my favourite mode I have played so far, which is only like 4 😛 but I was doing really well as Vader which I got almost everytime except once and I did the best with him.

My order for heroes (power wise) would be:
    Boba Fett
    Vader
    Luke
    Han
    Palpatine
Leia (easily the bottom… Others can be debatable to change spots above)

When someone knows how to use Boba properly then he’s almost impossible to kill with his jet pack. Palpatine needs a buff, he only uses lightning but it’s not like you can use it very much, only in short bursts.

    Han is really good though

The offline battles look fun enough for a quick match/practice.

Some info from today off Polygon.

“The first expansion coming under Star Wars Battlefront’s program of downloadable content will arrive in early 2016, according to an outline of the game’s $50 season pass on its newly updated website.

In all, another four playable heroes and villains will be added to the game through the premium DLC. The characters were not specified. The expansions will add 16 more multiplayer maps “featuring new locations,” four more game modes, and more than 20 additional pieces of gear, including weapons, vehicles and Star Cards”

4 heroes? Say it’s only OT. So Chewbacca and Obi-Wan? For Empire idk… Bossk and IG-88. Not the most exciting Empire wise… Unless it means 4 for each but I don’t think it does.

Or maybe it does mean 4 each idk hard to tell… If so then that probably means they’re going to expand outside just the OT movies. Empire can’t support 4 additional heroes I don’t think. Bossk and IG are not even that affiliated with the Empire, not like Boba is.

Rebels could if they really wanted to. Obi-Wan, Yoda, Chewbacca and Lando.

I think I am actually liking some of the smaller modes like Cargo and Blast better 😛 they’re quite fun and have more map variety. Tatooine has 3 smaller maps, Sullust has 2, Endor has 2 and Hoth has 1. I really like the hanger type map on Tatooine that has the Falcon.

I played on every map at least once except the large Endor map, played 21 matches total today. I just went through the full rotation on Blast for all the smaller maps.

Also I really like how the hero system lets you choose which hero you want when you pick it up instead of giving you a hero.

    Maps:

    Tatooine (4)
    Endor (3)
    Sullust(3)
    Hoth (3)

Total: 13. Game was originally supposed to have 12 but there’s 13 in game, all of the maps all really nice.

    Jakku (2)

DICE teased that DLC will take place in the OT as they said they will be keeping everything in the already established game era. However this only goes for faction wise, as they did make a comparison with Jakku and TFA not exactly being during the OT.

So in other words the game will always feature Rebels vs Empire (OT) but that doesn’t mean all the planets, vehicles, tech, etc will be exclusive to the OT.

I kinda want some Clone Wars guns…

My question is… Who will be a hero for Empire on Jakku????

Also, I think they could use an Imperial officer, like General Veers, as a hero. But Bounty Hunters would be safe bet.

Well Jakku isn’t going to have a new hero, the hero system just lets you pick up the hero card and choose who you want to spawn in as. So you can be any hero on any map.

I think the next Battlefront will be a prequel based game.

    2015: Battlefront (Orginal)
    2016: Battlefront DLC
    2017: Battlefront 2 (Prequel??)
    2018: Battlefront 2 DLC
    2019: Battlefront 3 (Sequel)
    2020: Battlefront 3 DLC

I believe Episode 9 comes out in 2019 so they could have TFA and Episode 8 content to start and then Episode 9 added in with the DLC content.

I think it makes sense though, I don’t think there will be enough sequel content to make the next battlefront be sequel based and there’s probably a reason they’re staying away from different factions and stuff

They could always add Clone Wars in as DLC for a prequel game. Have Naboo, Coruscant, Geonosis, Utapau and Mustafar to start in the base game. Doesn’t leave much room for actual open conflicts though…
