So this is Rassilon, which is really interesting. What the heck happened with him and the Master, then, if they both survived?

As for River, they look so good together. But again, her timeline is confusing. If this is at the height of their travels together, and she does have a lot of travels with the Doctor, then she COULD keep appearing in separate adventures, even past Capaldi, right? Ten was the youngest version of the Doctor she had ever met. But we don’t know who the oldest was.
But it’s right after The Angels Take Manhattan, and before The Night of the Doctor, which probably means this is towards the end of her life, before the Library. Could the Doctor give her a screwdriver here? He doesn’t have one right now, he could conveniently make one and give it to her.

I’m personally hoping for it to be Borusa instead of Rassilon as he has a great personal connection with the Doctor. In relation to the article. While it could be Rassilon the stuff that the article mentions is all ceremonial and is named after Rassilon as he was the founder of Time Lord society as we know it and probably the first person to be president. For example, the Sash of Rassilon appeared in the classic series and was worn by a president who was definitely not Rassilon and was later given to the Doctor when he became president. I’m certainly not ruling out the possibility of it being Rassilon but I’d just prefer Borusa if I’m honest 🙂

I wish Timothy Dalton was there I’ve wanted to see him again since End of Time 😛 (unless we did and I forgot..)

Don’t worry Kenbo, we haven’t seen him since 🙂 Timothy Dalton’s performance is part of the reason I’m hoping that the president in this one is not Rassilon as that leave the option open for Timothy Dalton to return another time 😀

But in The End of Time, Timothy Dalton was Rassilon.

Yes, so that means if this president isn’t Rassilon we could see Timothy Dalton again but if he IS then Rassilon has regenerated and no more Timothy Dalton. Logically given the situation last time we saw hime at the end of The End of Time it makes sense that he may have needed to regenerate.

I agree that he probably should have regenerated. The Master regenerated after his fight, so Rassilon should have too.
I thought Timothy Dalton’s performance was amazing but I’m fine with a regenerated Rassilon because I want more explanation as to what happened between him and the Master.
