I really wish I could be optimistic … but I’m not.

Likewise but it does sound familiar a new Trek series to help a new network launch Phase II/V’ger

And a new trailer for another bad film with splosions and they destroy the ship again and no freakin Klingons and yeah glad it’s an alternate timeline so it really doesn’t exist can we get Brian Singer to direct the next one?

Wow there is a fan site running damage control on twitter for the trailer. This movie is actually ignoring some of the stuff that happened in the previous movie. It’s just a big mess and who do we have to thank our good friend Simon Freakin Pegg.

Who decided that letting HIM write it would be a good idea? Seriously, what has he ever done that would suggest that it would be a GOOD idea rather than a catastrophically BAD idea?

That’s what I’ve been thinking. All I ever heard of was some stupid attempt at a Zombie comedy and really what level of talent do you need to write a Zombie movie comedy or not.

Alright a new teaser for the series from SDCC and it looks like they used some Ralph McQuarrie concept art from the Phase II project in the 70’s I’m very cautiously optimistic now.

Hmmmm the love child of a Federation star ship and a Klingon Bird of Prey … and did nobody stop to think that Star Trek Discovery has ‘unfortunate’ initials?

Shaun of the Dead and The World’s End are both pretty good movies that he’s written and considering the huge amount a crappy zombie/apocalyptic movies out there it must be a bit difficult to write those movies.

Just a note. The TV show and the movies are totally unrelated. Different companies, different rights. One has movie right, other has show rights.
