• I remember hearing that the voice recording and a lot of the sound design wasn’t complete for the Bounty Hunter arc story reel so that might be why, but I could be wrong there. And agreed, Dave very likely knows that fans would prefer entirely new episodes if twelve is all we’re getting as those one’s we’ve already seen before, even if not in a…[Read more]

  • Honestly can’t remember the last time I was this excited for something and thought I had to head back here to see what everyone was saying about it. 12 episodes is kind of disappointing. Maybe we could cheat a bit and say the unfinished Utapau and Bad Batch arcs weren’t finished so technically don’t count as brand new, meaning potential 20…[Read more]

I actually enjoyed it quite a lot to be honest, my favourite of Moffat’s finale’s which isn’t really saying much but still. The first episode was definitely the better of the two with good focus on horror and a brilliant set of reveals in the final moments. The second episode took things in a different direction that wasn’t as good which is…[Read more]

Last week I was pleasantly surprised to find myself enjoying. This week’s however was dreadful. An interesting concept that went nowhere. A monster set up over the past few weeks that ended up doing pretty much nothing what so ever, pretty sure they didn’t even have an dialogue. A “regeneration” purely for the trailer. A horrible resolution as…[Read more]

Volume two’s coming later this year and this time we’ve got Billie Piper back as Rose Tyler alongside Ice Warriors and Jackie Tyler, I know which of the two I find more terrifying xD https://www.bigfinish.com/news/v/doctor-who—the-tenth-doctor

I quite enjoyed this episode thanks to the interplay between the main trio being by far the best Doctor/companion(s) we’ve had since Moffat took over in my opinion. The Doctor being blind didn’t really impact me either as much as I think the story wanted it to but I think it still provides an interesting set up for next week’s story. I’m…[Read more]

So last night I decided I’d better start catching up so put Smile on and ended up binging all three and was pleasantly surprised that they got better each time, so hopefully that trend continues until the end of the series (or at least for a week or two more) as while nothing’s totally amazed me yet there are definite signs of improvement as the…[Read more]

I’m gonna be honest and say that I’ve only watched the first episode of series ten so far and so these last two weeks have been the first times I haven’t watched an episode the day it was broadcast since I started watching Doctor Who back in 2005. Haven’t given up on the show though, just really haven’t had much motivation to continue series ten…[Read more]

Not as good as Moonshot or The Leigon of Doom for me but still an okay episode. Ultimately I feel like it should’ve been two episodes though with a much more epic battle for the last two pieces at the Vanishing Point with the whole Leigon verses the whole of the Legends in the first episode, ending with the Legion recruiting Snart, followed by the…[Read more]

I agree but I am also very fond of the quiet menace of “Thrawn’s Web” so would include that in there also.

What a load of filler that was. Maul’s inclusion in this show beyond Twilight of the Apprentice was basically pointless. Feels like they ran out of stuff to do with him so fell back on the standard revenge plot for some reason. Not allowing Maul to face Vader was a mistake and while I do see why they felt it was fitting for him to meet his end…[Read more]

That’s a very good point to be honest, she had her moments but she should’ve gone either after Death in Heaven or Last Christmas. Which is probably the best attitude to have to be honest as we’re more likely to be pleasantly surprised but if not we’re not too disappointed. One thing that does excite me though is the return of the original Cybermen…[Read more]

I quite like most of what’s being shown here but I’m still shy to get too excited for it cos I’ve been bit so many times before. Bill looks more likeable than Clara though which is a positive sign and overall it looks like a fresh new approach from Moffat.

It was mentioned in his first episode The Chicago Way in that scene he had with Sara where he talks about not sinking the Queen’s Gambit so that none of what followed ever happened to him or Sara.

And yeah, I feel that Rip should go back to being captain by the end of the season as at the moment he sort of feels out of place but that does seem to…[Read more]

I’m happy to finally have another great episode again. Other than Legion of Doom all other episodes up to now this half of the season have been a bit lacklustre and while I’ve enjoyed them I still couldn’t get over quite a few of their problems. Moonshot’s finally got things back on track for me and hopefully it stays this way for the reason of…[Read more]

I would prefer this tbh. Maul’s story with Kenobi is basically over as he already got this revenge when he killed Satine right in front of him. Of course he can always go one further but after all that time it just seems pointless. Him wanting to take down the Sith however I can imagine as that does seem to be his arc throughout Rebels, given that…[Read more]

Well apparently episode fourteen, Moonshot, will feature the Legends and the Legion tracking down the last piece to NASA in the early seventies and will feature the return of Commander Steel. This’ll be nice to see as we’ll get to see Nate showing off his powers to his granddad. However, I’m still not sure about them using the Justice Society of…[Read more]

Yeah, while enjoyable it had it’s problems. And ikr, Malcolm not being in this at all was a huge missed opportunity. I mean the character he’s based off in the comics is called Arthur King. Arthur bloody King. And they decide not to use him in this episode for no good reason? I suppose John Barrowman could’ve had other commitments but I’ve not…[Read more]
