Doctor Who – The Companions

If you ask a Whovian what their favourite Doctor Who character is, one would expect them to reply with “The Doctor” himself, but that is simply not true. Of all the characters on this show, most fans would much rather turn and say that they are their favourite characters on the show, they as in us, they as in the Companions. Because, essentially, that is exactly what the Companions are; the audience themselves travelling with the Doctor. The Doctor, being a lonely traveller across the universe, needs a friend or two to accompany him, and the Companions he finds help him through the way. They are the most important aspect of the show – they are the gateway for us to travel with the Doctor. Join me as we take a look at all the Doctor’s companions from the past seven series, from Rose Tyler to Clara Oswald.

(NOTE: Spoilers from each series will follow.)
